I am originally from the UK and graduated from Liverpool Medical School in 1999. I completed my GP training in the Lake District of England. I then moved to the beautiful Wanaka region to join Aspiring Medical Centre as a partner in 2005.
I thrive on the variety that is general practice, although I do have a few areas of special interest:
- Women’s health and sexual health: I have a Diploma in Family Planning, as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I work as a doctor in the Wanaka Sexual Health drop-in Clinic at Aspiring Medical.
- Travel Medicine: Travel is a passion of mine and I have a Diploma in Travel Medicine. At Aspiring Medical we offer pre and post travel consults, providing patients with expert advice about health risks overseas and travel vaccinations. I am a Yellow Fever Accredited Provider.
- Child health
- Dermatology
- I am also an accredited teacher with the Royal NZ College of GPs and I enjoy supporting junior doctors as they develop their skills and experience.
Outside of work, my husband and I love being in the mountains and biking. We have a young daughter, who is also beginning to enjoy all that Wanaka has to offer!
