COVID-19 Patient Experience Survey | June 2020

 From June 22nd to July 12th 2020, The Health Quality & Safety Commission of New Zealand will be inviting patients, on behalf of medical centres around New Zealand, to participate in an online survey about patients’ health care experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way health care has been delivered and your feedback will help us understand how well new consultation methods are meeting patient needs and how they can be improved. If you have not seen a doctor recently, your feedback is still of value.

Respondents will receive instructions to log into the survey by email or text message.

Who will be asked to take part in the survey?

  • Patients who had a consultation or experience with their GP practice between April 27th and May 10th, 2020, representing COVID-19 alert level 3.
  • A selection of those who did not have a consultation or experience during this time.
  • Contact information is provided by the National Enrolment Service (NES) administered by the Ministry of Health for the purpose of this survey only.

If you receive an invite, participation in this survey is voluntary and you are under no obligation to participate. Your decision will not impact your access to health care in New Zealand.
